Orbit Folks with String Quartet on Nov. 5 @7:30pm
Place: The Red House Ximen, Taipei
For this special occasion Orbit Folks is joined by three talented string players who together
with violinist Wei Jun will form a string quartet. All bowed string instruments are descendants of
ancient bowed instruments from the Middle East and Central Asia, that evolved into Erhu, as
well as into the family of western string instruments, like violin, viola and cello. In this
performance violin, viola and cello are invited by their big brother double bass to bring homage
to their folklore roots through all new arrangements of Orbit Folks' songs. Bring something new
by going back to old!
