比利時吳馬丁(Martijn Vanbuel)所帶來的民族爵士的音樂創作,猶如一個語言文化的連結,本專輯失落的環節(The missing Link)是 一場馬丁探索音樂之路的起源,將猶太,中東,東歐,印度甚至到台灣音樂的民謠(Folk music)的精隨一一找尋出來,讓人再次感受到一場多國音樂的對話,再加上現代爵士與即興的融合,更將正不尋常的聲音,展現給各位台灣的聽眾!!!且相信這也是台灣唯一的獨特音樂語言!!

Orbit Folks has put out their first album “The Missing Link”which features a wide range of musicians from Taiwan and abroad. Live the band performs in a quartet formation, consisting of violin, piano, double bass and tabla.This album is only a beginning on the path to explore the infinite possibilities and combinations of music. The purposes of this music is not only to give the listener an enjoyable listening experience, but for those actively exploring new territory, it can become an inspiration, or a link to new ideas about musical exchanges across cultures. A CD release concert will be performing at Kafka on the Shore, Taipei (海邊的卡夫卡) on November 28 at 8pm.
